Takeo Kaneko Kyoshi will be visiting the UK on 27th Jan and to mark the occasion we will be organising a special session for all students.

The session will be a great opportunity to practice your Kihon, Kata and Kumite with direct feed back from one of Soke’s first students. Takeo Kaneko Kyoshi is 7th Dan (Nana-dan) branch leader with over 300 students. He has helped the UK branch develop for many years with frequent visits and great lesson for our Dan grades. He has also supported the school with administrative connections with Soke and Japan. He can speak English fluently and has been a great friend to us for over 30 years.

The session will be held at The Triangle, Burgess Hill
Time: 10am – 12pm
Date: Sunday 27th Jan

This really is a session not to be missed, I hope to see you there.

Welcome back to Lodge Hill for September Camp 2018

This year our September camp will be held at Lodge Hill in Pulborough.

I’ve not been to camp before, what can I expect?

Lots of Karate training (outdoor and indoor), lots of focused practice, time to reflect, learn and meditate, lots of fun camping / cooking and enjoying the new experiences this venue has to offer. Expect the unexpected….. and try something new.

Should I be concerned about my grade / fitness levels?

No, camp has something to offer everyone. You will be challenged more so than when training in the dojo, but camp is varied to suit everyone’s fitness and ability.

If you have any concerns, please talk to your instructor.

Are there any age / grade restrictions?

The training camp is open to everyone over the age of 14 years
The training will be designed to suit different levels of ability and grade Students below the age of 18 will be supervised at all times

We have organised a special training session on Sunday 22nd July to develop all areas of the syllabus and welcome  Takuo Soga to train with us.

Takuo is visiting the UK for business and would like to train with us but due to his limited time here he cannot attend a normal session in the week.

This special session has been arranged which means we will be closing the normal Sunday morning session held in Hurspierpoint and opening this session to all students (junior and adults only).

Welcome to our first senior day camp 2018
Saturday 10th March 9am to 5pm.

Our senior camp day will be held at:

What can I expect?
The countryside location will allow us to train indoors and outdoors (weather permitting). All aspects of the syllabus will be covered in detail throughout the day with some developmental exercises, kumite practices and Seishin (spirit) exercises. Expect the unexpected.

Are there any age / grade restrictions?
The day is open to everyone over the age of 16 years and all brown belts. The training will be designed to suit different levels of ability and grade. Students below the age of 18 will be supervised at all times.
